Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon var ett av spelen som Philips släppte i slutet av 1993. Philips hade tillgångar till The Legend of Zelda-licenserna efter ett misslyckat samarbete med Nintendo att göra en CD-ROM-version av A Link to the Past. Spelet sålde dåligt och betraktas som det sämsta spelet i serien av de flesta Zelda-fans. Spelet finns endast till CD-i och är som de flesta andra CD-i-spel, till stora delar uppbyggt av animerade filmsekvenser.
Det andra spelet, som släpptes samma dag, heter Link: The Faces of Evil. Båda spelen har ungefär samma grafik, karaktärer och handling, förutom att man styr olika huvudkaraktärer i de olika spelen. I Link: The Faces of Evil spelar man som Link och i Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon spelar man som Zelda.
