A Real Live Tour var Iron Maidens tionde turné och den gjordes till livealbumet A Real Live One. Pausen mellan Fear of the Dark Tour och denna så hade Bruce Dickinson tillkännagivit att han tänkte lämna bandet efter turnén. Därför blev turnén en farvälturné för Dickinson och många låtar spelades som inte spelats på länge som till exempel Prowler och Transylvania. Tack vare att Dickinson skulle lämna blev den här turnén väl dokumenterad och vissa kontroverser dök upp. Många tyckte att Bruce röst inte lät bra under stora delar av turnén och inte engagerade sig i bandet. Turnén var ganska kort och efter turnén släppte bandet A Real Dead One som innehöll äldre låtar live. De spelade i Europa mellan mars och maj 1993. Sista spelningen var en specialspelning som bandet hade tillsammans med magikern Simon Drake som sändes via pay-per-view och senare på vhs, Raising Hell.

Efter detta gav sig Bruce Dickinson in på en solokarriär med bland andra tidigare Iron Maiden-gitarristen Adrian Smith. De båda återvände till Iron Maiden 1999.
