Harlan Jay Ellison, född 27 maj 1934 i Cleveland, Ohio, USA, fantasy- och science-fictionförfattare som 1965 belönades med Nebulapriset för novellen 'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Tictockman, 1969 för kortromanen A Boy and His Dog och 1977 för novellen Jeffty is Five. Han fick 2000 motta SFWA:s Bradbury Award, tillsammans med Yuri Rasovsky, för manuset till 2000X - Tales of the Next Millennia. Han har arbetat med TV-serier som Star Trek, Babylon 5 och The Twilight Zone.
