Gordon Eklund, född 24 juli, 1945, Seattle, Washington, science fiction-författare. Bland hans verk återfinns "Lord Tedric-serien" och två av de första original-romanerna baserade på 1960-talets tv-serie Star Trek. Han har skrivit under pseudonymen Wendell Stewart och vid ett tillfälle under författaren E. E. "Doc" Smiths namn.

Eklunds första science fiction-novell, Dear Aunt Annie, publicerades i magasinet "Fantastic" april 1970 och blev nominerad till Nebulapriset för bästa novell 1971. 1975 vann han Nebulapriset för bästa långnovell, tillsammans med Gregory Benford, för If the Stars Are Gods. De utvecklade manuset till en fullängdsroman som 1977 publicerades under samma namn.

Eklunds Star Trek-roman The Starless World var den första Star Trek-berättelsen om en så kallad Dysonsfär - en uppsättning solenergi-satelliter kring en stjärna, som fångar upp och riktar stjärnans energi till kraftverk på en bebodd planet.

Som tonåring var Eklund medlem i en science fiction-förening i Seattle, The Nameless Ones, och 1977 var han hedersgäst vid science fiction-kongressen Bubonicon 9 i Albuquerque, New Mexico. Texas A&M-universitets bibliotek "The Cushing Memorial Library" har en "Gordon Eklund-samling" med bland annat det maskinskrivna manuset till The Stuff of Time.

Eklund har efter en lång karriär hos det amerikanska postväsendet gått i pension och funderar nu på att återigen skriva på heltid.
