Grammy Award (Grammy) är en utmärkelse, som sedan 1959 utdelas av Recording Academy (en sammanslutning av personer, som är inblandade i den amerikanska musikindustrin) för framstående prestationer inom musikbranschen. Den utdelas varje år i februari månad och betraktas som musikens motsvarighet till filmvärldens Oscar-utmärkelse.
På samma sätt som vad gäller Oscar sker utdelningen efter omröstning bland röstberättigade medlemmar i Recording Academy och inte på grund av popularitet eller försäljningsresultat. Utmärkelsen har fått sitt namn efter den trofé, som vinnarna mottar, en förgylld miniatyr av en trattgrammofon. Grammypriset delas ut i februari varje år, och det är inspelningar och prestationer året innan som belönas (bästa album 2010 har alltså spelats in och släppts år 2009).
Antalet priskategorier är för närvarande 105 inom 30 olika genrer.

- Flest erhållna Grammys har den klassiske dirigenten Sir Georg Solti med sammanlagt 38 fram till sin död 1997. Rekordet för ett band är 22 av irländska U2.
- Grammys inom flest kategorier har jazzgitarristen Pat Metheny med 16 Grammys inom 7 olika kategorier.
- Trumslagaren Hal Blaine, (som spelar i olika konstellationer vid skivinspelningar, speciella konserter med mera) spelade på den skiva, som vann kategorin Årets skiva sex år i följd 1966-71.
