The EdHuntour var Iron Maidens trettonde turné och den gjordes till det kombinerade PC-spelet och samlingsalbumet Ed Hunter. Till den här turnén återvände både Adrian Smith och Bruce Dickinson och gruppen stod nu för första gången som ett sexmannaband. Man började i Nordamerika i juli 1999 och avslutade i Europa i oktober samma år.

Turnén var kort och Adrian Smith kunde inte vara med på alla spelningar för hans pappa gick bort. Därför fick låten Stranger in a Strange Land försvinna från spellistan eftersom Janick Gers inte hann med att lära sig Adrians solo i låten. Låten kom inte när Smith återvände, bandet tyckte låtlistan flöt på bättre utan den. Dessutom fick spelningar på den amerikanska västkusten ställas in eftersom Dave Murray bröt ett finger av en olycka på scenen under en spelning i Los Angeles.

I och med att bandet nu hade tre gitarrister gav dem ett nytt sound på vissa låtar. Tack vare att Bruce Dickinson och Adrian Smiths återkomst till Iron Maiden fick bandet maximal uppmärksamhet i media och ny fansmottagning, mer än de någonsin haft.
