There are texts in the Bible which mentions both God's an man's psyche. The English word "soul", and often also the word "life" (and in some contexts also "mind") is in the Greek source text the word 'psyche' (which is spelled 'psuchē' in Greek). In the verses below we have, for your convenience, replaced all the English words soul, life and mind with "psyche" where it's used in the source text. KJV:

  • Matt 2:20 - Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's PSYCHE (life.)
  • Matt 6:25 - Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your PSYCHE (life,) what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the PSYCHE (life) more than meat, and the body than raiment?
